  • How do I get started?
    We have a straightforward four-step process: Step 1: Contact Us – Reach out via phone or email to express your interest in therapy. Step 2: Brief Phone Consultation – One of our therapists will call you to understand your situation and determine how we can best assist you. Step 3: Intake Session – You will meet with a therapist in person for a detailed intake session to explore your needs and establish goals. Step 4: Begin Ongoing Therapy – Based on the intake, ongoing therapy sessions will be scheduled to support your mental health journey.
  • What types of insurance do you accept?
    We accept a variety of insurance plans, including: Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Care Network Blue Care Complete McLaren Medicaid Priority Meridian Medicare Aetna Beacon Health Options United Health Care We also offer a sliding scale for cash payments to accommodate those without insurance.
  • What is a sliding scale, and how does it work?
    A sliding scale means we adjust the cost of therapy sessions based on your income and ability to pay. This helps make therapy accessible to individuals who may not have insurance or need financial flexibility. Please contact us to discuss rates.
  • What can I expect during the intake session?
    The intake session is an in-depth conversation with your therapist where they will gather more detailed information about your mental health history, current challenges, and goals. This helps us tailor your therapy plan to best suit your individual needs.
  • Can I choose my therapist?
    Yes, we encourage clients to find a therapist they feel comfortable with. During your initial consultation, we’ll match you with a therapist based on your needs and preferences. If you'd like to switch therapists at any time, we’ll help you find a better fit.
  • How do I prepare for my first therapy session?
    For your first session, it's helpful to reflect on what issues you'd like to discuss, what goals you have for therapy, and any questions or concerns you might have. Your therapist will guide the conversation to ensure you feel comfortable.
  • How often will I need to come in for therapy?
    The frequency of sessions varies depending on each individual’s situation. Some clients prefer weekly sessions, while others may come biweekly or monthly. Your therapist will work with you to determine the best schedule based on your needs and progress.
  • How long are therapy sessions?
    Typically, sessions last between 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the nature of the session and your unique needs.
  • Do you offer virtual therapy?
    Yes, we offer both in-person and virtual therapy options to accommodate your preferences and needs. Please let us know your preference when scheduling your intake session.
  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
    If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice. Missed appointments without proper notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
  • What should I do if I’m in crisis?
    If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. For immediate mental health support, you can also contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or use their online chat service.
