Alisha Mikkelson, LLMSW

Alisha graduated from Wayne State University with a Masters of Social Work and completed her Bachelors of Social Work from Oakland University. Alisha has been working in the schools as a special education Social Worker and At-Risk Social Worker.

She has experience with children, adolescents and families. Alisha’s specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Alisha specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Play Therapy.

In Alisha’s free time she loves to sing and dance, along with reading and spending time with her family.

Alisha believe that all behavior is a form of communication and that you just need to find what the person needs help to say. With a team effort all life’s challenges are possible to overcome. She will meet you where you are and have empathy.
